This top-tier US firm with a global corporate capability is looking for a PRC Consultant for their Shanghai office.
The clientele of this US firm is impressive, counting Chinese and international corporations, financial investors and institutions, the Fortune 500, institutional and state-owned companies and technology companies of all types, as clients they have served from their Shanghai office. The work that the successful candidate will be exposed to includes capital markets, cross-border M&A, private equity, venture capital, PRC regulatory and FDI work, amongst others.
You will have already passed the PRC Bar Examination and also have an LLM from a top law school. You must have at least 3 years’ worth of PRC legal experience either with an international law firm in China or a top-tier PRC firm. Essential experience from a candidate must be strong corporate transactional experience in M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital or FDI work. You must also have strong base knowledge in PRC regulatory approval issues as well.
All candidates must be a native Mandarin speaker and be able to draft in Chinese. They must also have excellent spoken and written English.
Personality is also a huge factor that this US firm takes into consideration. They must be a good fit in the team and have the ability to work alongside others as a team and also to supervise and mentor some junior professionals. They must also be proactive and driven.
