Barry & Nilsson Lawyers is one of Brisbane’s largest independent law firms currently comprising over 120 staff. We’re a values based organisation and unique in that we specialise in 3 areas of legal practice - insurance, commercial and family law.
Our already large insurance team is continuing to expand and due to growing client demands, we require additional lawyers. We're looking for people with anything upwards of 2 years’ insurance experience. Our formidable insurance team is headed up by seven well respected partners and is recognised throughout the insurance claims industry for producing high quality advice and service. The team handles major insurance claims and acts for the biggest names in the insurance industry.
In taking on this role, your work will focus mainly on public liability files as well as some property damage and product liability matters. You will be given autonomy to work on your own files with the ability to defer to more senior practitioners when the need arises.
The firm encourages continued learning and as part of this, there are weekly in-house insurance CLE sessions to ensure our lawyers are always at the forefront with any developments in the industry. You will enjoy the benefit of state of the art resources, a structured mentoring system, an “open door” policy and administrative support on a 2:1 ratio. There is also a progression policy in place to guide you in moving to the next level of your career.
