This is a management role reporting into the CEO of the Hong Kong office. You will provide legal support to the retail, wholesale and corporate banking transactional teams, using practical knowledge of all business products to give technical product, legal and transactional advice to the business. You will also be responsible for ensuring the bank is prepared for regulatory inspections, delivery of the overall legal and compliance training plan for all staff in the country, providing technical assistance to the financial crime risk management business and managing stakeholders at a senior level. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ PQE but this does not preclude someone with more qualified experience from applying for the role. You will be a Hong Kong qualified lawyer, currently working in Hong Kong, with a general banking/lending background gained either in-house at a financial services institution or at a leading law firm. You will have a solid understanding of the financial services regulatory framework in Hong Kong and financial crime risk policy.
