A top international law firm is looking for a mid-senior level associate to join their practice in a truly international location. This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your horizons and be part of the growth in one of the last remaining emerging markets in Asia. The role is based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and is the perfect opportunity for the adventurous lawyer looking to gain a broad skillset with some of the largest clients globally.
The unprecedented investment into Mongolia has created opportunities for some of the largest firms, particularly those from the energy and infrastructure sectors. Ulaanbaatar has one of the fastest rising economies in the world, and the global nature of the investment allows you to work on complex cross-border transactions that will stretch your skills as a lawyer. You will gain high levels of responsibility very quickly across a range of practices including coporate, finance, energy and projects, and this experience will stand you in good stead both financially and when continuing your career within the same firm in other locations in Asia.
Ideally, you will have the following skills:
- 3+ years PQE with strong transactional background
- Qualified in a major jurisdiction
- Experience in a start-up office is a plus
- Exposure across or within Corporate, Finance, Energy, Infrastructure, Projects is preferred
