4 to 7 year commercial lawyer for Wagga Wagga practice.
This opening presents the solicitor with a chance to work with other experienced commercial solicitors and litigators in a collegiate firm which focuses on delivery of commercial legal advice in regional NSW. The solicitor will serve existing clients and support will be given to establish their own client base and development of opportunities to expand their practice according to the particular solicitor's commercial law skill set.
The preffered experience requested for this position is as follows:
Transactional: Draft and act on Share/unit sale and acquisition of sme and large prop coys primarily in NSW.
Draft and act on Asset sale agreements
Provide advice on CGT, stamp duty and GST treatments of sales/purchases.
Act on rural acquisitions/sales including water transfers.
Act on commercial acquisitions/sales including preparation of contracts and tender documents.
Business Structures: Advice on business structures - trusts (unit, hybrid, disc.), companies and partnerships including cgt advice, drafting trust deeds, shareholder agreements and partnership agragreements
General tax treatment of structures
Provide advice to directors and shareholders under corps act and at law.
Estate planning: Draft wills for high net worth individuals including inc of testamentary trusts.
Skill sets: Must possess drafting skills, communicate issues quickly and easily and think laterally to progress transactions. Computer literacy preferred with a positive attitude.
