Required Skills & Experience:

• Preference for US, UK, Japan or Singapore legal qualification.
• At least five years experience as an attorney, including experience in IT/IP industry, preferably as an in-house attorney. Experience in employment related issues(contentious and non-contentious) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to speak, write and negotiate fluently in English and Japanese.
• Excellent analytical, cross-group collaboration and communication skills.
• Good track record of consistently delivering results.
• Strong drive to deliver quality results in a very busy and constantly changing environment.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.
• Extensive knowledge of contract law and experience drafting and negotiating contracts for software and technology with a services or system integration focus.
• Experience in working with clients and structuring complex and multi-jurisdictional transactions.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to work and contribute in a collegial team environment.
• Willingness to travel within APAC (up to 30%).
