Mid Tier Commercial firm with a reputation for excellence seek a Junior Litigation Lawyer with 1-2 Yrs PQE in DEFENDANT litigation to join their dust diseases team.
Working with a close knit team and reporting to a partner whose reputation in the area of Dust & Diseases precedes her, you will work with major corporations with liabilities arising from the manufacture and supply of asbestos products in the Dust Diseases Tribunal of NSW, as well as in courts in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. This role promises to be challenging and very autonomous. You will be working on your own files and will be liaising with medical experts, briefing counsel, advising on cross-jurisdictional matters as well as attending court.|
To be successful you will need 1-2 years previous experience in a Defendant litigation role. Experience in Dust & Diseases is ideal but not a necessity, however a keen interest to build a career in this area is essential. The successful candidate will have great commercial acumen, be able to show initiative and be a self starter.
